6 eggs (whites & yolks beaten separately)
1 quart thin cream (half-and-half); or milk
1/2 C sugar
1/2 pint rum
1/2 pint whiskey (or brandy)
Nutmeg to taste
Lemon zest to taste
In two separate bowls, beat the egg whites and yolks separately. Mix the sugar and cream with the egg yolks. Then add the rum, whiskey (or brandy), and mix well. Pour in the beaten egg whites, and stir the entire mixture gently. Flavor with the nutmeg and lemon zest, stirring slightly again. Place in a pitcher to refrigerate, or place into a punch bowl if ready to serve.
Note: Auld Man's Milk is similar to spiked egg nog in America.
