1-1/2 TBS fresh ginger root, grated
1 C sugar
1/4 tsp. active dry yeast
Juice of 1 lemon
Ice cubes (for serving)
Using an empty 2-liter soda bottle, add grated ginger root, sugar, active yeast and lemon juice. Fill bottle with water. Secure bottle cap tightly. Shake bottle vigorously, and then allow to rest at room temperature for about two days. Refrigerate. To serve, pour liquid through a strainer into a drinking glass filled with ice cubes.
