4 TBS oat flakes
8 TBS water
4 TBS sweet evaporated milk or cream
Honey or sugar to taste
Juice of 2 lemons
Place oat flakes, water, sweet evaporated milk and juice of lemon in a bowl. Wash apples, remove core (leave skins on), and then cut into pieces. Grind the apples into bowl; mix well. Add sugar and honey to taste; mix well. Recipe makes enough for four servings.
Variations: Use plain yogurt instead of water and evaporated milk, or add cream, half-and-half or milk. Add berries, oranges or other fruits instead of apples. Try adding ground almonds or hazelnuts for extra flavor.
